We developed a web app to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Norwegian writer and musician Alf Prøysen. This summer, we visited the Prøysen Museum to test our digital solution and review the results. We identified several more exciting areas of application and new ideas for ways in which to use and learn about literature in a digital format.
A new version has also made the museum accessible to schools in external locations and to others who wish to use the app both in the museum environment and outside it.
The app enables visitors to take their telephone on a four-kilometre-long walk around the Prøysen Museum and listen to both songs and texts by Alf Prøysen. The project has contributed to raising the profile of Alf Prøysen among a wider audience and making information about this important artist more easily accessible. This has been a pilot project for using and learning about literature digitally in an outdoor location. The client is the Municipality of Hedemark.
